Hi. I am running Comodo for my backup software on my windows 10 laptop. I want it to run in the middle of the night when it's not being used. To do this i have a scheduled task to wake up from sleep, and then a scheduled task to close MS Outlook a couple minutes later so that the pst file can be backed up as well. And, lastly, the backup is scheduled to run within the Comodo application.

The issue is that the scheduled tasks are not running. The computer is not waking up, so none of the other ones can run either. How do I need to configure the scheduled task to wake from sleep?

Solution
Hi, assuming your checked the option to "Wake the computer to run this task" in the task options, try this:

Right click on Start button and open Control Panel / Power Options.
Click on Change plan settings for the selected plan that you are using.
Click on Change advanced power settings.
Make sure that Sleep / Allow wake timers is set to Enable.

You can also try changing the HPET (High Precision Event Timer) option in your BIOS. See this thread for more information: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/c39f3759-76ab-4712-ae09-7ee102a94b9a/windows-10-task-scheduler-will-not-wake-computer?forum=win10itprogeneral

If none of this helps, write back with what all you have tried and your system specs and maybe someone else can jump in and help.
