Question Want to add 2nd hard drive to Dell Optiplex 7000 tower pc

I want to add a second hard drive that's an SSD to install linux on.
Dell lists these but I'm sure I can find something cheaper

The 2nd link shows both SSD's and HDD, you stated in your thread title Hard Drive while in your thread's body, you've stated SSD, which one is it? What is your current storage option spec'd with?

Says your prebuilt can be fitted with 3xM.2 drives in the 2230 and 2280 form factors. This is beyond the 4SATA ports on the board.

If you're not sure, you might want to take the side panel off and take a picture, host it on a site like Imgur, then pass on the link for us to see.

What sort of a budget have you allocated towards your storage purchase? Preferred site for pruchase?

I just want another internal SSD that I could boot from under $200 that's decent quality . The case seems to be missing the hard drive brackets for 2.5 or 3.5 inch hard drives but cables are there for power.

at least 500GB, after looking I'll probably get a 2 TB. I just bought a TP Link/ Archer TX20UH usb wifi today, works great
