Want to build a PC for sound production/home recording. $1200 budget. Suggestions?

I don't need a monitor, a fancy graphics card, or a fancy sound card (I'll be using a Pod HD500X as my audio interface, through a USB connection.) I need to mic a lot of vocals and a little acoustic guitar, but everything else will be DI'd. I would like the package to include reasonable headphones and near-field monitoring speakers though (if possible within the budget). I want to be able to produce high-quality demos, though being able to achieve commercial production quality isn't a necessity right now.

So far I know I want at least 16Gb RAM, a quad-core processor, and a 256Gb+ SSD. Specific suggestions very welcome.

I dont think he needs an K edition.
Get the 4770, with a decent h87 board, no need for a maximus board.
Why do he need 24GB of 1333MHz memory? I think he would be better of with 16GB with 2133MHz.

6/10 build, could have been done slightly better.
