Hello

I wanna buy this laptop:
Legion 5 Gen 6 (15” AMD) Gaming Laptop

full specs:
https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/Legion/Lenovo_Legion_5_15ACH6?M=82JW00BDUS

it comes with 512GB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0x4 NVMe

now for upgrade options , it has:
Up to two drives, 2x M.2 SSD
• M.2 2242 SSD up to 512GB
• M.2 2280 SSD up to 1TB

so should i assume that the preinstalled 512GB is already using that M.2 2280 slot which is supporting up to 1TB ?
if so, what i can do here? i cant buy 1TB M.2 2242 and use it cause the slot cap is 512GB , right?
and i dont think i can replace the preinstalled 512GB M.2 2280 to 2242 slot and place another 1TB at 2280
sorry for noobie question but can i buy regular sata HDD +2tb and use it instead of this SSD?
or can i use whatver TB i want and the cap here of 512 and 1TB is for preinstalled storages and not the limit i've to buy if i want an upgrade?

honestly as extra storage 1TB is low and i'd like to have 2TB , ofc i've external storage solutions but i dont like them to be attached forever so i'm using them for copy paste purpose mostly

Regards

you should be able to put in any size in either slot, the capacity THEY offer is 512gb and 1TB

YOU can later upgrade to whatever you want, 1tb 2 tb, whatever

that is THEIR options not hardware limits

Those are just the upgrade options that Lenovo will provide you if you choose. You should be able to put in whatever size SSD want in each slot
