Want to change my processor?

I want to change my processor. Now i have AMD athlon 3800+ 2.00. I know this is old one so i want to change it. First of all tell me it is possible or not possible. If so then which processor will compatible with my motherboard. How can i find which processor will work better with my motherboard. Thanks!!

System Manufacture:- HP pavilion 061

Processor :- AMD athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 3800+ (2 CPU,s) 2.0 GHz.

RAM :- 4 GB

Graphic:- Enno 3D 9800 Gt.

This is your processor and it looks like the socket for that cpu is the 939 socket and I doudt very much that there is an upgrade for that cpu and the only place that you woyld have any chance of finding an upgrade is on e-bay. The only problem is Iwouldn't be anble to tell you what to look for besides the 939 socket type.

Not everyone has the money to upgrade but the Pc that you have is really outdated and if you want to play any modern games then you should think about getting a new computer. Trying to upgrade this will just be a waste of money and you would be better off not spending any more money on it and save for a new computer.
