I currently have a Dell XPS 8700 with the listed components:

■ Default Dell Motherboard
■ Intel Core i5-4440
■ EVGA NVidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost (2GB)
■ Cheap ram sticks that came with the desktop (8 Gigs)
■ DVD RW drive
■ 120GB SSD Samsung Evo 840
■ 1tb HDD
■ And a 460w Dell power supply

I'm currently on a bit of a budget and will be reusing some parts from this computer (The video card, DVD drive, and hdd & ssd). The build I hope to get will be an AMD. I've found this cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113374&cm_re=amd_fx-_-19-113-374-_-Product and since I'm not much of a tech type of person, I'd like some help/suggestions on what kind of motherboard, power supply, case, and possibly ram I'll need.

-Thank you

P.S: New to the forums, so I apologize if this is in the wrong section.

you're i5 is better than the amd chip and is good enough unless you want to oc. i'd just get a new mobo and power supply for a future gpu upgrade and be done for now. throw in a new case of your choice and you will be on your way.

i don't know your budget but here is a good motherboard and psu. the ram is there in case you need it but the ram you have now is compatible and also good enough for the time being.

considering that you were going to get a new cpu/mobo/psu and others i assume your budget is more than above so here is a very good gpu that costs what the cpu would have. i dropped the ram since you already have 8gb and this is a very solid upgrade to your pc, you only need to add a case.
