So, my Huion Kamvas Pro 22 has started showing damage on the screen. Everything is working fine, but I see a red gradient on the dark/black images. I just wanted to know if this is repairable and what is causing the issue. https://ibb.co/xHTR1mH
Only repair would be panel replacement, given there is spare panel for that tablet. Cheaper and easier would be buying new tablet.I just wanted to know if this is repairable
What you have, looks like LCD burn.and what is causing the issue
Isn't backlight bleed usually white (gray)? Rather than red? 🤔Backlight bleed.
Backlight bleed can be ANY of the primary colors.Isn't backlight bleed usually white (gray)? Rather than red? 🤔
It's not backlight bleed, as it seems to be spreading. I think the LCD panel is damaged, and as you said, repairing it will be expensive.Backlight bleed. This requires a new panel or complete monitor replacement. A new monitor would be less expensive.
I think it's not LCD burn, as I don't see any image that leaves a trace on the display. This is how it looks while working white brighter images https://ibb.co/yQ3TzfSOnly repair would be panel replacement, given there is spare panel for that tablet. Cheaper and easier would be buying new tablet.
Increasing display's gamma level may remedy it a bit but it won't fix the issue. It just makes it less visible.

I am sure there is no physical damage but can't be sure about too much moisture or temperature, as both conditions were present.Damage within a LCD screen can be caused by impacts, such as dropping the monitor or environmental factors like prolonged exposure to high temperatures or too much moisture. It can be hard to tell what caused it.
Temperature alone won't cook it, since hardware can sustain far higher temperature than you can.but can't be sure about too much moisture or temperature, as both conditions were present.
You may be right; I should take it to a repair guy. Thank you, and Happy New Year!Temperature alone won't cook it, since hardware can sustain far higher temperature than you can.
But moisture can kill hardware and that - easily.
If you want to get to the bottom of why the panel died, you can take your tablet to electronics repair shop and pay for diagnostics. The tech there can tell you why it developed this kind of fault (e.g either manufacturing error or due to environment).
