Real Id would force the little magets to stop talking shit on regular ppl . Maggots feel powerfull behind the internet because they know they will probably never be found out. U talk crap on the internet you better be ready to back it up. This kid wasnt and im sure he will never talk crap again unless he starts working out.

HON has way better behaving community. Because HON doesnt have that total randomnes, it has PSR rankink system. Imagine if your were playing starcraft 3x3 with 2 random nooobs. For the 10th time... or for the 100th time (how many matches sc2 player plays in a week?) - you'd naturaly get just a little bit angry, if you ware on drugs, and you;d get very angry if you were sober. youd get angry at the game random mechanics first, but you can only express your anger for the other players

[citation][nom]jerreece[/nom]WTF does this have to do with this article exactly? They said in the article the victim basically said it was a group of teens. How can the cops arrest someone if nobody can tell them who it was?And don't spout off about getting IP addresses. Police need a warranty first, and then have to fight Blizzard's red tape to get IP addressses from Battle.net records. This all takes time.[/citation]

Well they simply need to run to Best Buy to pick up a warranty, then they can make their arrests.

[citation][nom]ColMirage[/nom]Herp Derp Stereotypes.Vancouver is nowhere even close to Quebec. And if you associate the French Canadian population as being of the same baggage as the France French I suggest you spend a little more time learning about us. You'll see that despite the language we both speak we are very different. In before massive downvotes.[/citation]

Why did that hit such a nerve for you? You know how much BS stereotypes of America exist? Let alone how many exists that no one even bothers to argue with? I don't even think it's okay for an American to defend themselves against a stereotype. As soon as it's someone else's country or some other races stereotype however, all guns are blazing and it's on like donkey kong. It's a bit hypocritical.

First, read the actual article first. They don't know who the assailants are. All that is known at this point is that there were 4 or 5 of them. The police do not know who they are.

Second, Canada is not full of French. Try learning more about Canada before you spout off crap like that. All you've done here is shown everyone how incredibly arrogant you are.

If you want to track down someone over the internet, trust the guys with the batons, not the police.

Jeeze, you people get really butt hurt over that statement. Of course Canada isn't full of French. It's supposed to be a joke...like "Haha, they really are sissies"

Good God, can't even say that without having a bunch of Canadians jump on my back over it. The moment you call all Americans fat asses though, we're just supposed to accept that and say nothing. People ridicule America all the time, the least you can do is take some of the jokes back.

Next time you make a joke like that, please include something that makes it obvious that you are making a joke. Some people (I can think of at least 2 already) may take it more seriously than you want or expect them to.

"/sarcasm" goes a long way.

What about that guy who lost at Counter Strike back a few years ago ? He hunted down one of the players he played against FOR SIX MONTHS and actually killed him.

You killed my video game character, I kill you for realsies, lol.

(he actually stabbed him)

[citation][nom]dEAne[/nom]A group should try addressing these problems - here in our country Gamers have an organization that promotes games in a responsible way.[/citation]

It's not games, it's mentally unstable people. If it wasn't video games, It'd be something else they'd snap at.

[citation][nom]BoxBabaX[/nom]DOTA strikes again. DOTA and HoN probably have some of the worst communities out there, people hate on those games quite a bit.DOTA = defense of the ancientsHoN = Heroes of Newerth (standalone dota clone)[/citation]

You forgot about LOL ?

The problem with this incident seems to be the line between reality and game. Personally i think taunting some one over the internet is just as real as in real life. Loosing the game should not lead to anger but depending on what the guy said i can understand the opponents anger.

Today its no longer just text its a lot of voice chat also and you cant on one side claim that we all grow closer due to the internet and on the other that its not real if it happens on the internet.

Kids these days (and adults to) just don't know how to show respect to each other and by for some unknown reason think they should get it but others should deserve it. Respect should be something you can loose but have from the start. The only logical conclusion is that we the generation that should raise the next already screwed up.

Kids from Hong Kong think they're all kinds of hard in Vancouver. Went to Magee High there for 2 years and had to beat one down because he wouldn't shut up about me being American. The school counselor got wind of it beforehand and basically gave me tacit approval to beat him up off school grounds. The rest of them shut their faces after that. 10 to 1 they ganged up and beat on whoever this kid was because they couldn't beat him up one-on-one. Besides them running wild on Canadians who are too weak/PC to deal with them, Vancouver was an awesome city. Rich kid gangbangers, what a joke - put them in a real ghetto and see how long they last.

I saw this on my local news yesterday. They were interviewing the victim, and you could tell that he'd be in no shape to trash-talk anyone in public. Mister Big Talk got what was coming to him, as far as I'm concerned.

[citation][nom]burnley14[/nom]First of all, good for the police chief to finally not place the blame on games. Maybe he's a gamer himself . . .Secondly, these kids beat him with batons? Batons? Sounds like they deserved to be made fun of.[/citation]

Your first comment I totally agree with. The second part of your comment -- you DO realize that batons are serious weapons, right? You might be confusing marching band batons with the deadly steel batons used by criminals and riot police.

Ouch! First. It's a game, and I don't see why anyone would get so mad over trash talk. I'm sure them "regular people" where so nice when he was in gym that day. Trash talking him. It's funny when your doing it it's ok but when it gets done to you your all "cry cry". His hand was broken over a game, and some of you think it's OK. He shouldn't have talked?? What the hell. It's a wounder why the world is in such a sad state. IT IS JUST A GAME! *Walks away shaking his head at the people that are OK with this act of hate*

damn it the teenagers have better detective skills then the police if they can track this kid down without the need for an IP, though quite frankly you'll have to be a special kind of stupid to be revealing details like your name and which school you go to, especially if you going be trash talking, of course if you need a group of you to gimp on some sad kid who trashed talked you then you got some serious issues of your own

the way i see it, the police know these guys gamer tags, your beat them at a game of DoA and trash talk the living day lights out of them (gotta wonder what these guys were saying to get those teenagers all riled up) then wait for them to turn up

Reading the article i knew it was DOTA. I used to play the game but stopped due to the high level of aggressiveness towards new players. Never seen a comunity so inmature anywhere else. While i don't approve violence this kid got what he deserve for being an internet warrior, i'm pretry sure if you were on the receiving end of this kid trash talk you'll be mad as hell too.
