I recently assemble a system with the following components: IC-7 board, 512
MB Of Kingston "Value Ram", Maxtor hard drive, G-force video card. The
problem is that I get a warning sound at boot up (Sounds like a European
police/ambulance) yet the system boots and runs. Some times an immediate
reboot will correct the problem but often not. The warning happens often but
not every time. Anybody have a similar problem or know of a fix?

P.S. Abit EQ software also fails with the warning: "Initial value fail!"

Thank you

clear the CMOS with the jumper and reprogram all of the bios settings.
leave the various warning settings in PC Health disabled. or, you can just
try the latter part of the suggestion.

Is there like a fan RPM alert in the bios that you might be failing? If
there is you can disable that.

Had a similar problem using AbitEQ software. Resetting system fan
lower limit to a lower figure cured the problem

I had a very simular problem. Rotating the heatsink/fan 180 degrees solved
my problem. I know it sounds strange, but I saw it on a board somewhere and
tried it in desperation. It solved my problem.

Hope it helps,

Stanley
