Warning you about Access Micro

I ordered from Access Micro a SOYO Dragon Plus Motherboard, AMD XP1900+ Processor, 512MB DDR2100 RAM, With a Volcano 6 Heatsink and Cooling fan for the processor, they said they would not guarantee the MB unless they burned it in, OK. The person that did my burn in broke my hold down fingers off the Socket 462, then hotglued the LB and 1/2 Heatsink and fan to the Motherboard and shipped it to me UPS, Support from them for this problem was a joke, I've had to eat my words before, but I will never purchase anything from this company again, I got my problems solved but not through them. Access Micro I hope you reap what you've sown.

on 4/20/02:

Complaints allege misleading advertising, excessive shipping charges, and difficulties with refunds and exchanges. Specifically, some customers allege the advertised prices were priced much lower than competitors to attract sales; however, the cost added for shipping charges made the total price exceed that of their competitors. Others complained that merchandise was defective and they were unable to get an exchange or refund. The company responded to complaints regarding their advertising and shipping costs by pointing out that the customer agreed to pay the total cost at the time of the sale. No adjustments were offered. Complaints regarding defective merchandise, and inability to make exchanges were addressed by pointing out that the web page advertisement which customers used to place their orders clearly states that the merchandise is sold on an As Is basis. A few complaints were closed as disputed. The customer was not always satisfied with the company's response. The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any product, service or company.

Sounds dangerous to me...take 4ryan6's warning to heart...he's not the only one who's had this kind of problem with them.

Think I will change my handle to BookEm'Danno or something...

If I don't get my 90THz AMD Quadraplex system soon, I'm afraid I may just combust right here.

Hey you guys...thanks for the warning. I'll pass it on. Sorry you had to be the one, but as you said they will reap what they sow.

Well it took a solid month to get it done but they did replace the RAM.

I still do not reccommend them to any of you.

Never ever buy anything when it say "sold as is", clear sign of making sure they can dump the useless broken stuff. ohh yeah, also this is a bump 😉
