[SOLVED] Was I wrong to get this GPU ?

I recently bought a pc and I upgraded the graphics card and now the pc BSOD on me when I game too much or stress test it on UserBenchmark and I’m not over heating or anything .
my build is a
Case:Thermaltake mini v1
CPU: Intel i5-4690k
GPU: (new gpu) pny XLR8 GeForce gtx 1660 super single fan 6GB
PSU: ultra LS lifetime 500watt
Motherboard: ASUS H8-1lplus
Ram: 1600mhz Patriot 8gb please help me anyone I would love to continue using this pc

You weren't wrong to get that GPU but you were wrong to expect that poor-quality PSU to be good enough for it.

okay so should i just upgrade my psu ?

Definitley --- a 500-watt Corsair, Seasonic or EVGA.

Then see what problems, if any remain. Hopefully none, but it's no good troubleshooting a system with a junk PSU anyhow, that's my point.

Like mentioned, yes its a 500w psu, however it looks like a very sketchy model, so I would recommend buying a new psu, the CX450 psu is a great, cheap model and I currently use it, I have had not a single issue whatsoever. And a BSOD is probably from not enough power, buy a new PSU and check again.

Don't skimp on a PSU. Doesn't have to be bank breaking by any means but if you can spend a few more dollars I would. I made the mistake and bought a 39 dollar PSU. Cost me another 400 to replace a GPU that had serious issues.
