The motherboard is Asus Prime A320M-K and the storage i want is Samsung 970 EVO PLUS. I have tried to look my self but the NVMe/Sata is confusing me

Solution
As always, go direct to the source:

Assuming a second gen Ryzen or later:
"1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support (SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode) "

Yes, it can utilize that 970 EVO.

Solution
your motherboard manual will state if it supports m.2 and which type.
there are NVMe type m.2 and SATA type m.2.

an NVMe slot will probably support a SATA m.2 chip but a SATA m.2 slot will not support a NVMe m.2 chip.

when searching for an m.2 disk to buy make sure you are getting the type your motherboard will support.

also take into account that if you have multiple HDs or SSDs already installed, some m.2 slots will disable some the 6Gb/s SATA ports.
