Hello
So I want to replace my dying internal Seagate 4tb with a WD 4TB, my usual shop has both internal WD Blue and external WD My Book for the same price.
Usage: Backup of photos and videos taken with my camera as well as some games that don't require SSD to be much faster
Do they have the same speed?
Will the My Book do some noise and so it's better to have the internal HDD ?
What about reliability? Anyone better than the other to stay alive more than 1 or 2 years?

Solution
The actual drive has pretty much the same speed.
The interface, however....SATA vs USB.

For "backups", the external, because you can disconnect it.
For games, the internal.

Reliability? Well, the internal will never get knocked off the desk.
