Is there any difference? I can get a 5tb for $180, i need two so should i buy the 6tb? I know that the 4tb has less reliability.

Solution
Hey there, Daniel!

All WD Black HDDs are tuned for high-end performance. However, there is no other difference between the 5 TB and the 6 TB version, except for the capacity. Those two models are the only ones that incorporate 128 MB cache size, though. The 4 TB and any other HDD size below that have only 64 MB cache. This increased cache size achieve faster read-rate performance and high-speed transfer. More specifically, the WD's Dynamic Cache Technology improves performance in real time to allocate and optimize cache between reads and writes.
