wd element dose not detect on desktop

wd element dose not detect on desktop but light is beeping. i could not understood why its not recognised my ps and another pc"s also?

Connect it to you computer. Right click on your computer icon and select manage. Goto disk management. From there you can see if the OS sees it. It may not be formated or initalized.
