Special tool huh? Like a torx bit? Darn special tool there.

I only gave him options, it's up to him to decide if he wants to mess with it or not.

I'm guessing you've never swapped platters before.
The only option is to return the drive to WD he should be on their 1-800 ## to set up the RMA

You should stick with what you know rather than guessing about what I know!
STFU

Guys, stop flaming. If you have problems take it to the PM's.

If this has to do with my hard-drive problem, post it, If it doesn't, don't.

This has everything to do w/ you! Whatshisname is telling you a bunch of crap! The drive needs to go home to its creator! Liars like him often try to turn things around to hide the lie. He has no business telling you to open a drive!

Dude, you dont have to curse. People just trying to help the poor guy with what they know, and hybrid is not that dumb to take out the drive. He just wants to recover the data on the drive. Now that we know that his drive is dead, show him a way to recover his data. If you so smart, trying to do something that help, not cursing. If you read the damn thread, you possibly know that there are people that contact Seagate for help, and they said the drive does beep, but in very rare case.

You are either a 5 year old kid who just learn how to curse from his stupid brother. Or you just a loser who has nothing to do but going on the forum to curse on people because your ugly girlfriend cheated on you for some deadmeat moron. Want to insult? You are far from being a master, cursing is not the best way to insult ok? Idiot.

Oh wait, what did I just say? I forgot, nobody needs to reply to goddamn 5 year olds or an idiot.

When did I curse? This board has bad words turned on. Let's see what happens when I say one FUCK wow that didn't work!
As for his data you can't RMA a drive that you opened. Its crashed out and needs to go back. In the future he can do regular backups!

By the way STFU

They contact seagate? That is too funny he has a RAPTOR made by Western Digital

STFU

So now you dumb enough to think that people dont know STFU mean? Whatever man, stupid or not, people know. Im not gonna make this forum become your joke. The final resort is for him to return his drive, but now, if can help, then help. Even if the drive is dead, people still can recover the data from the drive. Do you see the forensic people did that even the drive is on fire? Yea, thats what Hybrid wants, professional recovery. He knows that, but he wants it affordable for him, so thats what people trying to help. But you, you just say he needs to send it back to WD, WD not gonna save his data, they give him a replacement, which is totally not the point why he comes to the forum in the first place. Learn how to accept other people idea, or GET OUT.

Haha, that just proves you didnt read anything people write. They ask why the Hard drive beep, ok? Just to clear as to why a hard drive beep, a weird thing for most people. There are many kinds of HDD, but they basically share the same architecture, so a Seagate Hard drive beep, that means a Hard drive does beep, not a strange thing anymore. Like your smartass anatomy to mine, we have head and legs and arms. But you didnt have a brain, thats the main difference just like Raptor different from the other drives.

STFU can mean anything! Drive recovery takes time and costs big bucks. Allways Back Up Your Data!! So then he posts the clip and I listend to it. Drives don't beep! So he has to call WD to do anything! Your at the last resort. The point on why he arrived here was to prove to us that his drive is toast even though he doesn't want it to be. His drive crash cherry is poped!

The idiot is you little reaper man drives do not "BEEP" and WD is the company to call. That crap about my brain is pretty funny! Get a grip little fella! Oh and by the way...

Okay okay, I gave up, smartass. Cuz I think the more I talk, the more you just gonna talk back cuz you dont want to be wrong. I told you that if you can help Hybrid, then help him. Thats why we need a forum. And FYI, you know what you mean when you say STFU, so you dont need to lie to anyone but yourself, but you know how sad it is to lie to yourself. You are like prozac and some other members, they think they know a lot, then when people ask question, you guys either curse them or call them stupid, or lazy not to read other threads. You dont have to go to these forums, you know? If you feel unconfortable, then just leave, close the internet.

If your such a smartass, read the damn URL's people have pasted to help me.

Seagate does data recovery, and it states that they recover any brand of hard drives that are available.

Your absolutly right. He probably doesn't even know what STFU means, lol, and it's the worst response to something, you just crapped my thread, and you didn't help me at all. The other guy is telling me my options, but obviously I'm not going to run out and open the drive, I'm not mentally retarded, and I know about computers. I was to consider RMA'ing the drive, but then was wondering If there is an alternative, that alternative was finding out whether the data was recoverable from this dead drive. It can be done, yes it's not cheap, or yes it's very risky, but it can be done, you don't call him a liar if he does professional data recovery.

Don't judge people you don't know, and then tell them they're lying, you have no proof against that, and you've probably never sawpped platters or drives in your whole entire life, but yet you're telling him that he's lying.

Everyone is giving they're own opinion, whether it's right or wrong, I'm reading this and thinking of what's going to happen, how can it be done, and if it's going to work.

So far you've wasted 5 posts that could have been replaced by people giving they're 2 cents and support.

Thanks for the thread crapping Alpha_Magnum, I think you should be temporarily banned for thread crapping, and causing a flame war.

Oh well, I thought it was something that might have been overlooked. From what you said about HOW you moved it, it doesn't seem to be the cause. Sorry man, I wish I could help.

Man, I truly gave up with these rednecks. Can you see the date that the thread is posted? WD and other companies closed for the weekend ok? People find the same beeping soud problem by Google. Go do a search "HDD makes beeping sound".

Here I will chill....
Your drive is damaged. You can RMA it so call WD and the support person will most likely ask you to tell about the issue and will ask to hear the sound too. After that you will be given the RMA info.

You can't take the drive apart yourself. I have been in WD drives and there are no parts that "beep".

As far as crapping on your thread you wrote in here and I am entitled to comment! You can take it or leave it.

Wow, this guy is truly amazing guys. He actually use picture editing software to curse us. What part of HE IS NOT GOING TO OPEN THE HDD you dont understand? He is asking for a data recovery service that is affordable, ok? Read the thread. And about crapping his thread, you are not entitled to anything, and you dont start the thread so you are the one that needs to leave. Forum is a cyber place where people share their ideas, but politely. Not cursing.

In my country, this is when people say that he has nothing else to say, that he is losing the argument. Yup, when he starts to draw picture to do things he cannot do in the forum.

Stop causing a flame war; do it again and I'll PM a mod, your thread crapping.

Your stupid, WD is closed. I'm not asking for help how to call Western Digital, but was I can recover data by not paying too much.

I already filed an advance RMA request, and it'll take like 3 days for my HD to get there.

Here I will chill....

Well your comment is bad, and it gets me no where except pissed, when reaper is trying to help, and someone else is trying to help, but your telling everyone to shut the fuck up, mean while, you don't you shut up, and stop replying to this thread unless you have something meaningful and useful to say.

I know about RMA's, seriously, read the above posts.

If you also read, you would see that I said
it makes a beeping noise, I don't know whether this is an internal scraping, or an actual beep from the drive

Hey hybrid, how about we just ignore him. Sometimes, the best way to shut up a guy is just to forget he even exists. Watcha think? 😀

Dude, I gave you a warning.

I've PM'ed a Mod.

When I said stop thread crapping and harassing members, I mean't it. Your flaming is getting me no where, except I have to scroll down through shit loads of crap posted BY YOU.

*sarcasm* Thanks.
