hi ,
Worth buying the wd ssd green 120gb ? I have the wd blue 7200rpm 1tb and I want to buy an ssd to have better boot times on windows and open some softwares faster . With that ssd I will see an improvement or will be better to look for another one ?

Solution

WD just bought someone elses line of SSD and rebadged it.

Look for a larger one instead.
240/250GB.

Yes, 120GB seems like it would work. But think of what you'll need in 2 years, not just today.

Every day, we see people in here with a 120GB SSD, moaning about "TooSmall!"

and in terms of speed it should be a visible improvement on my system ?

Yes. It shows typical SATA SSD performance. A vast improvement over a typical HDD.

Now...to see that, you need to install the OS on the SSD. Just having it as a secondary drive doesn't do a whole lot.

yes my idea is to install the OS on the SSD and some typical softwares and let the HDD for games and movies and stuff that take more space .

OK.
Not the drive I would have chosen, but it will work.

about 10 Euros ( 12 U.S. dollars ) on both

10 euro more, or less?
Here, the WD Green 240GB is more expensive. $95 vs $90.
For that, it is a no brainer....the MX300 275GB or the 850 EVO 250GB wins.

10 euro is nothing if I see an improvement over the WD
