Im not sure if this is in the right spot to post this stuff but i was wondering if anyone knows a very good web based cmd emulator. Im currently in college for computer science and was helping the teacher set up the class and we were wondering if there were any, i cant find any. Does anyone know one?

I still think advising students to have a USB drive with a virtualized OS might be your best option. Virtualbox portable should be able to run on practically any system, unless there are restrictions on the USB ports themselves.
What do you want it to be able to do?

A VM with a real command line interface would be far simpler I would think, then you could actually see the consequences of playing around in the command line. Maybe virtual box running Student Editions of Windows Server 2008 or something? Haven't looked into recent versions/licensing/availability of student edition but the student 120 day license is bundled with many off the shelf certification guides. Pretty sure you can make a 2008 standard copy run for 120 days with a reg hack as well.

I mean best case would be finding a web based one that allows you to do commands at an administrator level, being the the college is very picky as to what we can install on there machines and its a thin client setup so they push resets daily.
