Question Webcam lighting up but no image

Hello there!
I have a Lenovo 300 FHD webcam. I've had it for about 2 years now, it used to work fine until last week.
Then one day out of the blue, it just decides to stop working. The power light works, the in-use light lights up everytime I open the camera app, but there is no image.
I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue as the same thing happens if I plug it into my laptop instead of my PC.

How do I fix it? any suggestions?

Did the webcam originally work on both PC and laptop?

Does the webcam appear in Device Manager? (Ensure that View > Show hidden devices is checked.)

Try reinstalling the webcam drivers.

Try reinstalling the webcam app.

Look in Reliability History/Monitor - any webcam or webcam app related error codes, warnings, or informational events?

The webcam does appear in the device manager
I've tried uninstalling the device and replugging it

There is nothing webcam related when I check the reliability monitor

How do I go about fixing this issue?

Does the webcam work with any other device?

If not, it is dead and needs to be replaced.

Probably, yes. However, to verify, just attach to another system.
