Hello there,

I've recently bought the EVGA GTX 960 2GB and i've been playing GTA V since then and no problem occured. Since Yesterday, weird red spots and other sort of shapes started flashing on my screen while playing the game. Also, there were some blue flashing triangles or squares. It does not happed exactly when i first open the gamw, it happes after a few couple of minutes after i start playing. I don't know if it's the graphics cards fault or not. Please have a look at the video i've posted.
PS I dont know if this link works but I dont know how to insert a video:

Solution
I agree, the GPU seems to be the problem here. Where did you buy it from? I'd RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) it to EVGA or return it to the place you bought it from for a replacement.
Have you tried re-seating your graphics card and check the connection to your monitor? Have you updated to the latest drivers? If not, it could be a hardware issue. I'd RMA it, those symptoms appear to be a defective/DOA card. Also, what temperature is your card at when the red dots appear?

PS, the video didn't work 🙁

Im sorry about the video. I really wanted people to see it but..ergh. Anyway, the temperature is around 48-53 C while playing GTA V. I've played ETS2 about 30 minutes ago and it worked perfectly. I don't know if reseating the card would help because this problem is only when im playing GTA. Lates drivers are updated as I only just bought the card.
Also, I'm not really good at RMA and DOA, so could you please tell me what they are and what I could to it? Thanks.

Artifacts as you described usually come from the GPU being over stressed (usually from overclocking). If you aren't overclocking and have double checked your connections, drivers, etc... more than likely it's a faulty card.

Those temps are safe. Have you tried any game more than demanding than ETS2? It's strange how the problem is exclusive to GTA V...

GTAV is more than likely a lot more demanding than ETS2 and causing the 960 to stress more. This is all speculation though.

I'd suggest the OP contacts EVGA for a replacement.

ETS2 is the 2nd game after GTA V which give the card stress. Also if you'd like to know, I got the following specs: Intel i5 4460S 2.9GHZ with turbo 3.2GHZ, 8GB RAM, 2000GB, Windows 10 64-bit. It is not glitches that i'm talking about, like invisible streets and building.

BTW I've uploaded the video on youtube so you can see what I mean and you can see the problem at about 13 second into the video: http://youtu.be/mB4zzyFopVo

Those visual artifacts are from the GPU being over stressed. I'd call EVGA about a replacement

Solution

I have tried to look inside to see if the card is correctly seated and it wasn's actualy seated properly. So now i have placed it in the right way. Il have a go playing GTA again to see if this was the problem.

Darn 🙁 Where did you buy the card? [/quotemsg]

I bought it from Amazon, but anyway I have received the replacement for it and it seems that the problem is gone so it was the other card's fault, so thank you guys for the help. Really helpful :)
