Weird GPU idle temp increase.

Hello friends,

So my GPU is a fairly new ASUS STRIX R9 380. Today my GPU's idle temps have been a bit weird. Usually they are in the 32-38C range. Today they are in the 42-48C range. Still at load im only getting 62C max so i'm be fine, but the temperature and GPU usage goes down very very slowly so i'll sometimes still have 56C after i closed the game for like 15mins ago. But it goes down to that 42-48C eventually. I know im fine because my load temps are low but i'm just very curious about this situation. (Also i think my GPU overheated or something in GTA since my the driver crashed and i got the no signal black screen but that probably doesnt affect this situation)
So what seems to be the problem?

The ASUS Strix GPUs are designed to run with the fan off (while light gaming or no gaming), so it's going to cool down much slower and stay at higher idle temperatures than normal.
