Weird problem with BC2 beta

I have been playing this game for about 2 hours a day, and sometime the game just force closes/kills itself. This happens at least 2 or 3 times times daily and it really bothers me because it screws up the rest of my computer too. So once i restart it is fine, but this shouldnt be happening. Thanks for any replies.

p.s. i tried all of the obvious things like drivers, reinstalling, etc.

Hey good to hear. That sounds a lot like that dragon age issue I was talking about. Something weird was going on with the FPS cap and some cards were throwing crashes unless vsync was on.

It is only by word of mouth but I read that the beta doesn't have a FPS cap. Hopefully it keeps stable for you now.

Fatal, I think that is a common issue. Issues updating has made their bug list. They suggest trying to run the updater as admin.

I didn't realize this until it was too late but everyone could have pre-ordered on Steam to get a beta key and then just canceled right away if they wanted a hard copy. Once you had access to a key, having a pre-order wasn't necessary to keep the beta running.

Has anyone been seeing commercials for BC2? I think they are doing a pretty good job getting it out there. The one with QOTSA rocks.

Actually fatal, I've been meaning to mention this; you look kind of sick and well, the rest of the clan has decided that it might be best for you and your education, if you took the next couple of days off and rested in your computer chair. Right guys ?

haha yes! well.. Im going to pick it up after work when I get out at 5... so like 5:05 to 5:06 I should be on.. lolz. what time you guys getting on? Also, I got a friend who prob. willjoin the clan when he gets his copy (my second copy)

Im picking up my first copy in a about an hour then going to test it on linux, ill be on until about 12 or 1 tonight? whos up for it? education comes 2nd on this special day lol i wake up at 5 every morning. tonight sleep is my LAST priority ill be up as late as the last teammate still up. im stoked to see these maps! im ganna start in single player, it is a moral of mine not to ever start off in the beginning online, dont have to beat single player, but i gotta start it first lol

yea, update, idk how long i can stay off online, but i would really rather get to know the maps first.
and another update, not going to my bros today so ill be on from the time i get it to midnight lol

Ah the sweet smell of downloading a new release.....

Whats up with your connection JD? Why do you always have issue with BC2? There was a patch released today...did you try installing that? Run the updater if you haven't.

Man, looking at the BC2 forums, it looks like this is a rocky first day for EA.

Not sure if it will help but I heard there was a day one patch. A little scary when the first patch is on launch day....*gulp*

Yeah as soon as my 3hr DL is done...I will be on probably pretty late tonight as long as there are no major issues.
