Weird problem with BC2 beta

I have been playing this game for about 2 hours a day, and sometime the game just force closes/kills itself. This happens at least 2 or 3 times times daily and it really bothers me because it screws up the rest of my computer too. So once i restart it is fine, but this shouldnt be happening. Thanks for any replies.

p.s. i tried all of the obvious things like drivers, reinstalling, etc.

Hey good to hear. That sounds a lot like that dragon age issue I was talking about. Something weird was going on with the FPS cap and some cards were throwing crashes unless vsync was on.

It is only by word of mouth but I read that the beta doesn't have a FPS cap. Hopefully it keeps stable for you now.

Fatal, I think that is a common issue. Issues updating has made their bug list. They suggest trying to run the updater as admin.

I have BC2 but am only about 20hrs in so still getting to know the maps weapons modes and tactics, and what is transferrable skills and tactics from other games and what is new..
Thanks for the offer of joining you guys but being based in the UK the pings and clock times just wouldn't work out.. also between work and young family I don't really have the time, and can't make the commitment to game competitively at the moment. I'm currently in a clan anyway so would probably play with them if/when we take up BC2 matches.
Out of interest what formats do you play in matches? 4 v 4 conquest or squad deathmatch?

Nah, we just hated GB's setup; we draw the line after the first 4 hour match we had (Six rounds is about four two many...). We decided to focus on TWL/XPL, so we'd never be able to meet GB's scheduling anyways.

On an aside, I'd still like to get a match up at some point, as our first formal practice showed we need some work against actual team prior to the opening of XPL competition. Individual skills are still there, teamwork and control of the map...not so much.

And if anyones interested, feel free to add me to xfire (gamerk2) and friend me in game (gamerk316).

Yeah I would still like to set up a match with you guys. We have been sort of playing drop in style so far so I would like to get some action in a good structured game vs another team. Can you guys play later tonight? Even if there are uneven teams, I would still like to do a few rounds.

Possibly, although we do better when we have advance notice. If we have the people on, I'll try and get a 4v4 together on our match server. [I note: I can't contact the rest of the clan while at work, and the only other guy who could set this up changed his Xfire a while ago, and I forget what it is offhand...]

Make sure to add me on Xfire so we can communicate.

It would also help if one of our admins got our PHP based forums up and running (or the rest of our site for that matter...). But yeah, a match, even informal, would be great for us at this stage.

Hey gguys, I am on my way home using EDGE on my phone so it took hours just to sign on here lol. Ill be back online tonight or tmrw, I am buying.a new case so I'm not sure how long it will take me. I see the team almost fell apart without me :) btw, I wasn't oin mexico or california, I went to the Ukraine
