I just finished my build and decided to go with a Corsair TX850 enthusiast series,

the weird problem is that when i put my ear close to the psu when it is running windows it makes a weird beeping/ crinkle noise.

I called Corsair to see if this was a problem and the person on the other line told me it was normal.

so guys, is this normal or does this call for an rma of the psu?

thanks a lot,

Jon.

Question: Why are you putting your ear close to the PSU when running windows?

Im thinking you are looking for mole hills to turn into mountains here, it seems plausible that your PSU makes slight noises while its running, its warming up things are changing shape slightly, there is high frequency power in the coils etc, if you cant hear it without putting your head down there and trying to hear something then its not an issue, if you had coil whine to such a degree that you could clearly hear it when using the computer normally that might be RMA worthy.

I have 2 140mm exhaust fans drowning out the sound when I am on my computer.

I was just concerned if it would lead to problems later on down the line.

thanks for the help guys
