Question Weird thing happening with new ssd

Hi Guys. Having weird issue with new 4tb ssd, the pc will only recognize it in ide mode, my other 2 x2 tb ssds plus 4 tb sata are fine in ahci mode, i notice that in bios that uefi is greyed out and is booting in legacy mode, when i open the uefi mode, the pc wont start, is there a way of isolating the 4 tb ssd into its own ide mode as ive noticed in the pc seams to be running quite bit slower since turning over all drives to ide. cheers for any help and advice ??

PS. 4GB disk needs to be formatted as GPT, not MBR.
