Hello guys. I have an AMD A8 6600K Overclocked from 3.9GHz to 4.2 GHz.
My Temps
CPUID HWMonitor - 50-90C (Idle) When playing nearly any game it shoots to 90 - 105C even with fans at full speed
HWInfo - 55C Average (Idle)
Open Hardware Monitor - 30C (Idle)
SpeedFan 30-40C (Idle)

Now then my MSI Afterburner is set like this:
When Temp = 30C Fan = 40%
When Temp = 50C Fan =50%
When Temp = 80C Fan = 80%
When Temp = 90C Fan = 100%

So as you can see I've tested many programs and they all have different temps. My most trusted program of all is MSI because I know a lot of people use it.

Can anyone tell me why this is?

Check your temp in the BIOS as well. I use HWmonitor and the temps reported for my system seem correct. Like HEXiT said, your going to want to adjust the fan curve to be at %100 @60C so that the system won't throttle or force restart. Your idle temps are a bit high, have you tried to replace the thermal paste and reseat the cooler?
As far as why each program is showing a different temp might be linked to certain software incompatibilities with the OS or maybe an older version of the program not reading the temps correctly, I don't know for certain.

use core temp or real temp. they are 2 of the more reliable apps cpu's
put the results against each app and you will see which 1 is accurate.

the only 1 of them apps i have found issues with is speed fan. dropping a cpu multi on a oveclock lead to 10'c difference while everything else was showing
no change.

lastly yes you do want that first answer. because it will help stop your cpu hitting 90'c. its at no time meant to be running that hot.

given the idle temps. you either have a badly fitted cooler or are you trying to oc on the stock
if your trying to oc on the stock cooler dont. its not designed to handle the extra heat.

Both of the programs don't support my CPU 🙁 and yea I said my CPU was overclocked but not much. BTW my new cooler is here tomorrow so ill test it out with new cooler and thermal paste then see what i get.
