What exactly is a chipset driver and where will I download it? Is it a cpu driver or a motherboard driver, or are the two the same?

Solution Phillip Corcoran Oct 31, 2017 The chipset is on the motherboard, therefore the chipset driver package will be on the motherboard manufacturer's website. Obviously you'll need to select your particular motherboard model for the download page to show the correct chipset driver package for it. As a general rule, the chipset drivers should be installed before you install the other motherboard drivers.
