What and how much RAM should I buy?

What would be the best memory to get if I don't intend to oc, but want high performance and gaming? I just want fast memory. Someone told me that the memory speed shouldn't exceed the fsb, how does that work exactly?

Find something with the lowest timings u can afford
Depends on what u do... 2-3Gb
