Hi, I am thinking of buying one of these item

5/5.8GHz 9dBi Wireless Networking Antenna

Or

2.4GHz Dipole 11dB Antenna - Detachable Base

Currently we have the Vodafone Standard ADSL / WIFI station but will be moving up to Vodafone board band ultra modem. The modem will be in house.

What antenna should I choose? It will be located about 20m away inside a small hut / caravan.

Solution
Many times putting larger antenna on only 1 end of the connection does not accomplish much. Things like walls especially exterior walls absorb huge amounts of signal. It takes very little to absorb the signal, look at your microwave oven. It transmits on the same 2.4g frequency at 1000 times the power. You can see through the front glass and the amount of signal that gets out is less than 1/200 of the power your router outputs.

Looking at the photos I am going to bet that is exactly the same antenna in both. Antenna are optimized for a particular frequency but can function well on other frequencies. 2.4g and 5g have very tiny wavelengths so it is simpler to get antenna that work for both. The difference in the optimum...

Most likely but that for the main house need to see what best antenna to choose for my unit; My motherboard is the gigabyte h97n-wifi so built in pci mini

What "unit"? The only piece of wireless hardware you've told me will be in use is that Vodafone Ultra Hub, which you can't use those antennas with. Are you saying you're going to continue using your current "Vodafone Standard ADSL / WIFI station" as well as the new Ultra Hub? If so, can you provide a link to the Vodafone Standard?

On my mother board has the Bluetooth 4.0 + 867Mbps 11AC dual band WIFI card

So I am hoping to connect one of those antenna's to it.

In regards to the adsl modem current one is Vodafone Station here link you can scroll down list

I'm kind of stumped. I'm not sure how dual band routers work with regard to antennas; I would assume that there would be a separate antenna for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, but I can't find any info about that, like if the adapter has two antenna connectors which would be for which band. I think your best bet would be to try and find antennas that state they support both 2.4 and 5 GHz (compared to the ones you linked which explicitly state they only support one).
