Hey guys i would like some help with upgrading my pc.I think i have already chosen my mobo and ram which are Gigabyte Z370P D3 (rev. 1.0) and Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3200MHz.But i cant decide my gpu or cpu im thinking of i7 8700 or i7 9700 for cpu but i cant decide which one is more worth it and rtx 2060 super or rtx 2070 for gpu but i cant decide either as they also have a lot of custom cards too.I would really like some advice.

Should swap to an 2600 and a B450 board

Nah it’s still a good CPU, also has more upgradability and is cheaper. You could go for a 3600 with an X570 board too but that costs more
I checked and i can afford both ryzen 3600x and 3600 are they better than i7 9700 and i7 8700 and which one of the two should i get lastly i need the mobo to be as cheap as possible dont wanna spend much on it can u recommend the best one?

Well to get the most of the Ryzen chips you need an X570 board which start at around 150 though with a Bios update you can run them on the old B450 and X470 boards. Depends if you have a shop around you that’d Do it for you. Personally would get the 3600.

I checked and the cheapest x570 mobo is 165 euros in Greece so i find it pretty expensive for a mobo is this mobo Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 not gonna work?

You’d have to update the BIOS so you can use 3000 chips. Do you have an electronics shop nearby? Or just message where you’re gonna get it from and see if they’d do it for you. Might do if for an extra €10
Is it hard to do it or dangerous that i cant do it myself? I have one nearby yes but would rather save the 10€lastly which gpu would u recommend? Thnx for the help

Some can do it without a CPU but most require a CPU that’s already supported for the update. AMD used to send chips out to do it but I dunno if they still do.

you’re looking at the 2060 and 2070 super cards? Depends what you’re after, what you looking at doing with them and at what resolution/settings if it’s gaming.

I usually play in 1920 1080p on 144 hz monitor but also got a 4k tv im between 2060 super and 2070 i dont know about amd cards cause i kinda like having rtx

speaking from experience who just did this exact thing a month ago. i went from a i5 6500 and gtx 680 to a i7 9700k and a asus dual rtx 2060 o6g. i would still highly recommend intel over ryzen. either way if you are buying for future proofing if you wanna upgrade in 4-5 years you will need a new mobo no matter what brand you use. as for specs pricing for a i7 9700k and a ryzen 3700x is basicly the same depending on tasks. same thing with pricing. about the same.

Thnx for the reply if was to go for intel should i go for i7 8700 9700 difference is 30 more euros for 9700 and which mobo would be a good budget one to get for them

i would go with the 9700k considering the cost difference its not a big difference especially considering you are trying to future proof. depending on the features you are looking for there are many boards. i bought a asus tuf z390 gaming plus wifi board and i love it. it is a mid tier board id consider. ps make sure to get a good psu dont skimp on psu

Hmm i see the 9700k with this mobo tho goes kinda over my budget cause i wanna upgrade my gpu too thats why i was looking for the cheaper alternative of the 9700 with a cheaper mobo

if you are not over clocking and you can get a fair priced 9700 do that when i bought mine the 9700 was 50 bucks canadian mroe than the 9700k

yea i just read the 9700 is perfect i never overclocked my 9700k but it was still cheaper then the standard 9700 model idk why but oh well.
in your case i would suggest a 9700 and any main board manufacture. all the big companies have good boards at fair pricing. find one preferable with a m.2 nvme slot trust me you will want it for future proofing. what kind of features were you looking for? and what form factor

And would a z370 board be ok for it? Like this one? Gigabyte Z370P D3 (rev. 1.0)Also i got an i7 4790 right now should i wait more for the upgrade and get the 9700k later? Do you think it can hold an rtx 2070 or 2060s without bottlenecking?
