What are the default settings for windows xp brightness

Hello people, i have this windows xp brightness problem.... its too much bright and it makes every light color white too (e.g. every light color like light blue, light green, etc colors appear as white on the screen.....) i have Nvidia GeForce FX 5500, 256mb graphics card which are set to these settings

Brightness:- 50%
Digital Vibrance:- 0%
Contrast:- 50%
Image Sharpening:- 0%
Gamma:- 50%

Which i know are Wrong...... i tried to re-install the driver and it did not work, i even re-installed My Operating System (Windows XP) and even that didn't work.... if anybody knows how to fix this problem or knows the Settings of the Brightness, PLEASE Tell me....

That gamma setting is driving the living daylights out of the picture. Try about 15% and adjust brightness after that.

I have a Radeon HD card and it doesn't have a gamma adjustment.
