saves about $175 bucks and you won't know the difference.

wow thanks for the quick reply! that mobo switch was a good idea and datguy20's SSD is much cheaper. i switched the water cooling out for a be quiet! dark rock 3.
the only thing i'm worried about with the dark rock 3 is the installation, seems there is 3 different widths for the mounting brackets and i have no clue which one i would use.

it should be obvious which one ot use once you have all the parts in your hands. there is a manual that will help you know plus plenty of youtube videos that can walk you through.

and i agree with datguy about the ram. for some reason i missed the fact it was only 4 gb. probably because the price is the same as 8 gb. do yourself a favor and up it to 8 gb ram for the same money. sorry i missed that right off, it was late and i wanted to watch tv and eat popcorn 😀

a couple more dollars and you get some nice cas 8 ram in 8 gb variety

That's a massive air cooler. While it'll be great for overclocking, do you plan on overclocking? Genuinely don't know because of your first post with a non-k CPU.

If you aren't overclocking then the only reason to buy an aftermarket cooler is for silence, as the stock cooler works fine for stock speeds.
