Hello everyone.
I have CPU C2D e8400, 6gb ram, and a very bad graphic card that's good just for the intent and watching videos.
I wanna buy a new card and can afford these once
zotac gtx 750ti 2gb,
asus gtx 1050 2gb,
gigabyte gtx 750ti 1gb
Gigabyte gt740 2gb
Don't want to list them all, but the 1gb and 2 gb cards with the same price

Let's say i wanna play gta 5(of course the other games as well, but this one just as example) on medium settings, 720p resolution, 30 fps or a bit above will be fine.

The question is quite stupid
Is there a difference between 1gb and 2 gb cards if using them with my CPU and RAM?
If there is a difference maybe gt740 2gb will be fine and no need to buy gtx 750ti or gtx 1050?

Solution
Don't bother with the 740. Get a 2gb 750 Ti. You'll be able to run dual core friendly games, and they'll perform reasonably well.

If CPU demanding games like GTA V are what you want to play then you'll do better to not buy anything until you can afford a quad core CPU based system or something new like a Pentium G4560(ie a fast dual core w/hyperthreading).
First off, this is a very, very old CPU, was made back in 2008. You may not be able to get away with medium settings. That CPU may not be able to handle GTA V since it's minimum is a Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600, and you have a Core 2 Duo. But if you still want o take that risk, the asus GTX 1050 2gb, should be good, assuming you have a motherboard that can support them. there is a different in the GT series and the GTX series. If possible, you want a GTX card as it has more power (best way to explain it).

Problem is your cpu is to weak to run gta V even on the lowest of the lowest settings.

Thanks!
If i understood correctly for my CPU 750 ti 2gb is the top card, right no need so spend more money?
But If i buy say q9550 will it be ok for gta V? With this CPU it's reasonable to buy gtx 1050 or higher?
