Ill be realistic, I overpaid for a crappy PC. The only upgrade I put into it was a GTX660. Otherwise, it's not the best.

I only play CS:GO. Right now I play on the lowest settings possible, and on most occasions my FPS is around 150.
However at certain junctions / when theres a lot of players or grenades on my screen, my FPS can drop easily to 100 -110.

I'm not sure which would be the most valuable upgrade (motherboard? cpu? gpu?)

My goal is to play on Medium - High settings and maintain 200 + FPS.

Specs:

CPU - Intel Core i7 950
Motherboard - asus p6t
6 gb ram
GPU - gtx 660

My budget is roughly 150 CAD. Any help is appreciated. All I'm looking for is the most significant upgrade for my budget that will help with my fps, thanks.

Are you running a 144Hz monitor? If no I’d look at that.

If you start upgrading that system you will quickly decide the components you don’t upgrade are holding you back. Although it’s old it’s well balanced. I wouldn’t put any more money into that platform.
