[SOLVED] What computer do I need to get for Sims 4 game + other games and extras?

want to know what kind of computer I need for Sims 4(with lots of mods/CC and basically most packs except for everything after Island one, I do want to download Eco Living, DU, SE, Nifty Knitting though). I also play Nancy Drew mystery games (which i know I'll need an external optical drive for for some of the older games). I also want to be able to download Blue stacks which is (for lack of a better word) "an app" so I can play mobile games on my PC (ie: Hogwarts Mystery, or Sims' Free play, And I would like to try the newest Papa Louie's fooderia game-Mocharia-which is mobile only game which I could play via the app) I also need space for a photo editing device(?) for my SimLit purposes.


So do I need a gaming computer or some other kind of computer?

The starting point is to familiarize yourself with the games/apps hardware requirements.

Most applications provide some listing of hardware requirements in the format of "minimal", "recommended", and "best".

You do not want "minimal" and you do want as much "best" as you can afford.

Budget?

You must also keep in mind the support requirements for attached devices and their applicable software and drivers.

Many products may be deemed "gaming" but only support some minimally demanding game.

If for example all your games recommend 8 GB of RAM then 8 GB is what should be installed. However if any one game or app is 16GB then 16 GB is needed.

Make a list of the hardware requirements game by game.

Then look for a computer that matches or exceeds those requirements be they CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU, Drive(s), etc..

Without knowing what I need, i don't have a budget.

With the Sims 4 more packs require more RAM and that's not even counting the third party mods and CC I want to use.

I know you said no budget, but lets be honest. How much do you have, where are you located? (I ask because I don't think you are in the USA.) Any PC that's $600-800 will run this. As long as it has a GPU.

I'm in Canada. And a regular computer does NOT work in humid weather. I have had the same computer since 2014 and both last year and this summer I have the same problem. I can NOT use my computer duing humid weather. Because it freezes up on me. I can't use the emgerency keys (Crt+Alt+Delete) to get to the end task, nor can I get the mouse to do anything either to shut it down. I have to do something which everyone knows could damage the computer. But until late June- since I got the computer in 2014, the computer tower was underneath the desk. It's now ontop of the desk. My parents think a gaming computer might prevent that problem. I doubt it.

But still I don't know what gaming computer to get only the fact It has to be a desktop and we really have no budget for it.

Any of the builds from the link that was provided above should work fine. I'd look for a 4C/8T CPU, 16GBs of RAM, and a 5800 or better AMD, or 1060 Nvidia. A 1050TI might work as well. Really depends on the price.

I normally suggest building yourself, but a prebuilt might be the way to go. Prices for video cards are really bad right now. With a prebuilt you'll get overcharged, but not nearly as bad. I'm not into prebuilts so I'll leave it to someone else to suggest which one.

For the specs you listed, a 5600g should handle all of that. The IGP is faster than a GT 1030, which is faster than a GTX 650. GPU prices are so high, right now, it is difficult to recommend one, for someone that is playing titles that the 5600g's IGP can handle.

And the nice thing is if/when GPU prices return to normal, that board has a PCIe slot and you can add one in. For $750 this is a good idea. (I might try to get something better than that board, but that will work.)
