I recently got a used Mac monitor from my neighbors who were throwing out the whole system. I wanted to hook up the monitor to my PC, but it ended up not fitting any of the slots (I have an R9 280 Dual-X with two DVI slots, one HDMI, one DisplayPort).

The cord on this somewhat outdated Mac monitor looks like a DVI, but it's longer and has clips instead of screws. What cord is this, and are there any good adapters to one of the aforementioned ports?

I went ahead and asked on Steam as well earlier. It turns out it's an Apple ACB or something like that, which is a huge problem. The cord is Power, USB, and Video all in one, meaning you need a $200 adapter to use it for DVI.

Yup. Took a while to find out, but sadly, the only solution is a $75 Belkin adapter.

To be honest, I'm considering it. The monitor's fucking massive, and they're usually IPS. If the adapter has a power brick, it should work, right?
