So my friend is giving me his two gtx titans and I am not sure what cpu and motherboard I should get. Right now I was looking at the amd fx-8350 or the intel i7 3770 or the 4770. From what i've read the amd 8350 won't bottleneck the gpu but it will limit performance becuase amd cps are not as powerful as intel. Please leave as many suggestions as you want

How about asus-z87A !? 144$

two gtx Titans seriously!? for two gtx titans get an intel i7-3970X...any cpu except for this one is a big bottleneck!!!

Do ypu know how much an intel i7-3970X would cost and where i could find one

That cpu is way outside my budget

The cpu im fine with but is there a cheaper mobo that you recommended

How about asus-z87A !? 144$

That I can do! Do you think I should overclock the cpu or should i be fine

you will be absoloutly fine without overclockin, in a test performed by http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_Titan_SLI/ they did the test with a cpu wich is a little slower than what you are buying, no bottleneck was reported...so you will be 100% ok without overclocking

look here http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_Titan_SLI/ they did tri-sli without overclocking i7 3820...so no overclocking is needed for two and with even a more powerful cpu

Thanks, all you guys helped a lot with my build

no problem mate...
