Here're my specs:

CPU: i5-3470
Mobo: GA-H77M-D3H
Case: CM K280, 1 exhaust fan

When I put over 100 FPS in a game, my Intel stock cooler starts to make noise. Which one to buy? Cryorig M9i or C7? Or other CPU coolers maybe.

How about Deepcool Gammaxx 400? There are many reviews for it.

7 minutes into intel burntest 100% load

sub 50c temps , & checl the fan speed - that is the lowest I can set it to on my asrock board.

Im not going to take an audio recording because the mini cube case its in has 80mm fans & youll hear those not the gammaxx cooler.

What is your mounting solution? Do I need to buy a thermal paste for it? Why is there a pre-applied thermal paste on it?

comes with a single bracket for amd mounting & a pair of push pin clips for intel (you just use the 4 screws to fix these to the underside of the cooler.
it then fixes to the board the same as the stock intel one.

It comes with pre applied paste simply becasue its a budget sub $20 cooler - theyre not going to throw in a $5 tube of paste with the price it goes for.
The paste thats on there is decent enough stuff though

Here's the picture for better reference:

Yeah you wouldn't have any problem mounting either fan then.

So there is no need to buy thermal paste for it and just use the pre-applied one?

no ,the results I posted are just with the preapplied paste & it took about 2 minutes from opening the box to fitting.
All you need to do is clean the existing paste from your cpu.

Dont get me wrong the gammaxx is not the be all end all of cooling solutions,I have $60-70 140mm coolers on my two amd systems because theyre heavily overclocked, what the deepcool is though is a great & cheap replacement for a locked intel cpu.The results I posted dont lie ,50c max temps at 1000rpm fan speeds is not to be sniffed at.

It should be significantly cheaper than the cryorig & the noctua aswell??
I paid like £15 uk pounds for these & wouldnt hesitate to use one again in all honesty.

What country are you ?? What are the prices on these coolers youre looking at??

Yes it is cheaper than the Cryorig and the Noctua. I'm from Malaysia. I checked that Cryorig M9i is £27 and Deepcool Gammaxx is £15 after converting from MYR. On the other hand, I boot up my computer for the 2nd time after returning to my home. I found that my in-game FPS was dropping. I thought it was my game problem so I reinstalled it but actually it wasn't the problem. After that, I checked my CPU temp was around 90c through HWMonitor because my Intel stock cooler wasn't spinning. This process had been 2 hours like that. Will the temp damage my CPU for that period of time? I should have put CPU temp warning in BIOS setting.

I've known people running sandy/ivy chips at that temp for days if not weeks without realising it.

99c is the throttle limit , the chip would have been down clocking to 1400mhz to stop temps getting any higher.

Very little risk of any damage to the CPU mate.
Would seem with your report of noisy fans & now this that the bearings have gone on the Intel fan.
I'd refrain from using it much until you have a new cooler.

I checked some people use aftermarket thermal paste. Should I buy it?

How come my CPU temp go up to 70C when I put 120 fps in game. I've already installed Deepcool Gammaxx 300 and I applied Cooler Master V1 IC Value on my CPU chip.

I did clean the botton of the gammaxx and the existing paste.

Firstly I don't understand why you'd remove what is perfectly good quality paste that's been pre-applied pretty meticulously by machine.

You've introduced room for user error there for nothing IMO.

That said the paste you're using should give better results than that still.

You do have your cooler fitted with the fan next to the ram as in my previous pics & the one below??

Do you actually have a front intake fan ??
What are your ambient (room temps) ?
How are you measuring temps software wise ??
Check the pushpins are locked on properly in the cooler.

It doesn't make loud noise and high temp after I reapplied my thermal paste. I have to reinstall it several times to get the pushpins to go through my mobo holes. I don't know whether they got locked or not as long as I see them go through my mobo holes from the right side of my case.

I used tissue to clean the CPU cooler preapplied thermal paste and old thermal paste from CPU chip. Is that OK?
