So I purchased a 1080 Founders Edition not to long ago, and I'm trying to get a new CPU for it. What are the minimum CPU's I should.
Please if you know good ones, give me a list of both Intel and AMD. I'm just trying to find something affordable.

These CPU's would pair well with your GTX 1080 FE:

INTEL CPUs (7th-gen Kaby Lake LGA1151)
Intel - Core i5-7400 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($175.28 @ OutletPC)
Intel - Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($188.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Intel - Core i5-7600 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($209.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Intel - Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor ($214.89 @ Amazon)
Intel - Core i7-7700 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor ($289.99 @ SuperBiiz)...

Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($308.89 @ B&H)

AMD CPUs (Ryzen AM4)
AMD - Ryzen 5 1400 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($157.49 @ SuperBiiz)
AMD - Ryzen 5 1500X 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($176.99 @ SuperBiiz)
AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($199.99 @ SuperBiiz)
AMD - Ryzen 5 1600X 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor ($227.99 @ SuperBiiz)
AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($269.99 @ Amazon)
AMD - Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4GHz 8-Core Processor ($319.99 @ Amazon)
AMD - Ryzen 7 1800X 3.6GHz 8-Core Processor ($419.99 @ Amazon)

Best pure gaming CPU would be the i7-7700K ($308.89) for its 4.2GHz single-core performance.

Best price/performance CPU would be the Ryzen 5 1600 ($199.99) for its 6-Core/12-Thread, low TDP, overclockable, and comes with a decent CPU Cooler out-of-the-box.
