Unfortunately, that link takes me directly to amazon.com :cry:

Dang I guess that's what I get for trying to steal bandwidth. :wink:

Glad to see the other link worked at least. 8)

@ radeonninjaxt, Relax dude! :roll:
If they're so infallable, why can't ATi do FP16 TextureFiltering but nV can?
.

ATI's Texture filtering quality destroys Nvidias so dont even go there.

BECAUSE NVIDIA IS A SHITTY COMPANY

Goddamn it, this is a hardware forum, not a brand fellatio contest. I'm so bloody tired of you pathetic corporate lapdogs, fanATIcs and Nvidiots alike.

Nvidia makes great cards, so does ATI, both have the best in class at different price points. Anybody who can't admit that is a blinded logo shill.

If you keep this stupid attitude on this forum I can guarantee you will be crucified.

BTW, that's KNOT a Fellatio reference it's an Arbor Alussion, which is itself an amusing alliteration. :twisted:

Can anyone post a pic of how this HDR thing looks compare to a non-HDR thing? I play BF2 a lot and I don't even know if it has one or not.

Pics don't do HDR justic since an important part is Dynamic lighting.

Quick way to show the difference is this demo (don't know where to find original) from FartCry where HDR is side by side with non-HDR;

HL2's version

Valve's Demo;

The Master Chief's armour in the H3 trailer shows good use of HDR;

Most HDR just focuses on the overbright, but it's also about giving dark sections features not muddy blackness. This is best illustrated by this candle video in Oblivion (although would be better on YOUR PC/XBOX);

Watch the Crysis tech demo, and you can see it used well in the Day/Night sequence with some Iris effect too;
