Question What did I buy?

I recently purchased some items from an auction and in my purchase 10 were desktops. I am not sure what type of desktops these are can anyone help identify them for me. Here is the image link

Looks like small HP pc's that might have been used in an office.
If they are working, fire one up and look at what the bios says.
I suspect you got a good buy on them.
They might go for $80 on ebay.

2. Systems that were supposed to end up in missile silos, but got mistakenly shipped to the auction house.
3. Pre release experimental systems from HP.
4. A stack of empty cases.

If they were it means there are 1) Either no drives or 2) Nothing important. Unclassified means that any data that was on those machines was never classified or very long was classified and is no longer.

That aside, if these were gov related PCs, despite looking clean, I bet have paste that's drier than the desert. I'd take them all apart outside (bugs?) and clean them out. As fun as is spinning them is at high speed, tape the fans in place of you use compressed air as spinning them with said air will destroy them. Then repaste everything.

Do some stability tests and either sell them or repurpose them. Another option is donate them (if you didn't spend a lot) to some local non-profits or shelters or something.

That green sticker is absolutely US Govt issue.
If these are ex-DoD, then absolutely the drives are removed. Just last week we sent a stack of systems to DRMO...drives removed and put in the shredder.

DBAN isn't as secure as people think but that aside, pulling them would be the logical move. The stickers though a bit baffling in language rather than just "No Drive".

Either way, new paste, test and repurpose, resell or donate. Looks visually like good condition. Curious what the insides look like.

The green "unclassified" sticker exists while the system is in use.
It does not signify that the drive has been removed.

All of our unclass systems at work have those stickers.
Unclassified (green sticker) vs Classified (red sticker).
