Well, Prime Day is upon us and I would like to take advantage of some deals!

I've looked around for a bit and couldn't find any threads that really answered my question. What should I upgrade in my system?

My system is as follows:

i5-6500
b150m bazooka
asus rx480 4gb
16gb ram
1tb ssd

I also am looking at a 144hz monitor, but I am not sure if I want that or if a new part/parts could help boost performance.

Thanks for the feedback!

the 144hz monitor will require more GPU oomph, the 480 is great for 1080 @ 60hz.
I would go with a monitor/gpu block. increase the resolution and the refresh at once.
more GPU power and RAM and a monitor to match
Alright. So what gpu would you recommend then with my current cpu?

that narrows it down significantly to the AMD cards. Vega 56 or better.
the 480 can handle it if you do not mind lowering some settings but the low RAM is the crippler. for all out the 56 is the path

the monitor is freesync ready. AMD is freesync. match the set. they are after all made to work with each other.
nvidia will work but their G-sync will not function on this monitor.
if nvidia is what you want look for a G-sync monitor.

thanks for clarifying. How well would an rx 590 pair with that monitor? The vega 56 is a bit pricey for me
