Instead of buying a lot of fans I would personally have chosen a "cheap" water-cooling setup, to get rid of the fan noise.
Hehe, there is virtually no fan noise. I'm using the case fans that came with my Antec Plus1080 which are all controlled by voltage regulators that slow down the speed depending on the temp of the case.

wow, almost 3Ghz. push a little more your cpu to reach this amazing step.
btw, i am a little deceived by the memory overclocking. you reach slimly 176Mhz. hmmfff. maybe some Corsair...

To tell you the truth, it was really my parents idea. They don't like me upgrading my computer or getting a new computer every 6 months. They say I'm wasting my money.
IMO never with Informatics Hardware, you can always resell it if you don't need it anymore. -----> eBay.

Labdog, you're already an "old hand" ?? making over 800 posts in less than 1 month under your new fancy name ????

"Old hand", talk about inflation ...

Im glad your IT7 worked out well.

I love my IT7 more than the TH7-II. I run at 3Ghz (2997) 24/7. I can go higher in Mhz but I prefer the fastest memory timing vs highest Mhz.

You are limited to what your mind can perceive.

It sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hehe j/k ;p

Mine is better though simply because it's mine so ya ... lol

read my rig info for my current rig. it's funny cos we bought the samething (almost just mine is better because it's mine so ya).

Hmm, my Samsung RAM didn't overclock too well so I went in and exchanged it with Apacer PC2700. Apparently, Apacer PC2700 has 5ns Samsung chips. Well, I haven't tried overclocking the RAM yet, but I'll post results soon. I took a gamble with Apacer, but 5ns RAM sounds interesting.

Where did you get the Plus1080? I have looked at it on Antec site and want one but everywhere I check says its on back order.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.

IMO you would have more chance to go above 2.4Ghz with the 1.6A than reach 3Ghz with the 2.26B. just an assumption after have been read some reviews about...

hummfff, why you didn't cross over the magic frontier of 3Ghz?!? more's the pity.

I'd say both are equally easy.

frankly why don't you buy some Corsair XMS2700 CAS2 512MB if you intend a memory overclocking? $150 from NewEgg.

Congrtulations! Really a great computer.

Now it's time to play with it and to squezee every component.

Just give us some pictures of this beast to make us jelaous ;-)

DIY: read, buy, test, learn, reward yourself!

You should of went <A HREF="http://www.vr-zone.com/reviews/Memory/HighPerfDDR/page9.htm" target="_new">here</A> first. It tells you how to burn in the samsung RAM so it overclocks better.

That is a nice <b><font color=green>Garbage Can</font color=green></b> you have there!

Did I not post this <A HREF="http://www.sharkyforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=142829" target="_new">link</A> before here.

I'm currently using an unmodded beige Antec Plus1080. Just look up a review of that case and you'll know what my PC looks like.

In your dreams MeTaLrOcKeR.

No way your little pussy of a Grahics Card (non-overclocked GF4 MX440) could give you 10985 3D Marks.
