What does OEM software mean?

I'm in the process of getting ready to order all the parts for my very first build and I've just one quick question. I know what OEM parts mean, so I've got that down. However, I'm curious as to what is different between OEM parts, HDs, etc. and OEM software that you can buy.

I want to buy the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - OEM from Newegg it's 100$ I've seen it in stores for as much as 200$ what am I not getting with an OEM version of Windows 7 compared to going to say Best Buy and buying the windows 7 OS from a store?

OEM software, generally = no support from the vendor, so you can't call MS for help. Like anyone does anyway.

And for Windows you can't legally transfer it to another computer if you destroy this one.

Probably it's also missing any documentation and fancy packaging.
