My system specs
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 640 @ 3Ghz
GPU: Gainward GeForce GTX 460 1GB
Mobo: MSI 870A-G54, Socket-AM3 AMD 870+SB850
Ram: 1stick of Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 4GB CL9
PSU: Corsair VX 550W PSU
Nothing is overclocked and both BIOS and my graphics driver is fully updated
When i've got all four cores active my computer either freezes or goes to BSOD, when ever it freezes it also makes a continious beep untill i power down my system
When i run my system with only 1 core active i get no BSODs or freezes on my system.
I'm guessing that the continious beep means either that my PSU or CPU is dead, but considering that it doesn't freeze or BSOD when running haven benchmark with only 1 core active i'm finding it unlikely that its a PSU problem and not a CPU problem, cause as far as i know it is the GPU that consumes the most power in a system.
