Had a quick look and from past experience Windows should pickup most stuff during install. But you may need the LAN driver etc to get your internet connection so I would get those on a usb stick before you install windows. Assuming you've got usb.

The link I looked at below and the files I am guessing you may need. This is for Win 10 I guess, if not choose a different OS but the same file types will apply.

https://www.asus.com/nz/Motherboards/Z170-P/HelpDesk_Download/

Realtek LAN Driver V10.2.703.2015 for Windows Win10 32bit&64bit---(WHQL).

Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.1.7576 for Windows Win7 32bit & Win7 64bit & Win8.1 64bit & Win10 64bit---(WHQL).

Management Engine Interface V11.0.0.1181 for Windows Win7 64bit & Win8.1 64bit &...
Go to the Asus Z170-P motherboard page, and then select the Drivers page. Download all the drivers there, and install them. Those drivers are tested to work with that motherboard.

The two exceptions to that statement are video card driver and possibly the Intel system device drivers. If the Intel files are on the Asus page for your motherboard, download them off of the Asus site. If they are not there, go to the Intel Download Center, and download the tool that will select the correct drivers for you.

Hi Benxive,
If you bought the Mobo new there should be a CD with all the drivers you need with it. If not goto the suggestion that MarkW gave you. The contents of the original CD should be available from the Asus support site.
All other drivers should have been installed by Windows, but you can always obtain a driver updater app like Driver Booster 3 from IOBit which I have found good value.

I would have used the CD but my case does not have a spot for the optical drive and i didn't want to spend money on something that I wouldn't need for more than a few times.

Also could you tell me what exactly I have to download from the motherboard site.
On the website there is a lot of things that I can download and im not sure if I have to download everything or just some of the things.

Thanks, I already had an internet connection when I first setup my PC and I have audio so I'm just going to check the last two suggestions.
Edit. I am using windows 10 but I can't find a version of the management engine interface that will work for the OS.

When you go tp the support page that was last linked, it will ask you which OS ypu are installing. Select Windows 10 64 bit, and then everything that is listed should work with Windows 10 even if it says that it is for another version of Windows.

Windows 10 is still a work in progress, and a lot of drivers and programs have not yet been released for it. So Asus has to test each driver and app to see what works, and when tghey do, they post them for you to download.
