As far as I can tell, you cannot attach an external GPU to that laptop nor can you upgrade the integrated GPU. Laptop GPU generally cannot be replaced.

it think he wants to use a external PCI-E gpu dock like this one. that being said, i don't really see the point with a machine like the x201. they are nice computers and absolutely amazing at what they are meant to do, that being said, they aren't exactly gaming machines. the low power cpu will struggle in demanding titles and the PCI-E dock will most likely hinder the performance of the GPU. since a dock like this will cost you close to 100 dollars, i think a suitable gpu would be something like a 750ti, anything less in my opinion is a waste of money since you are spending more on the dock itself.
