his if the first time I am building a computer and I am looking to get a good CPU+GPU balance. I have decided on the Intel core i5-3350P after reading Tom's Hardware January 2014 review of gaming CPUs. What GPU should I pair with the Intel core i5-3350P to minimize hardware bottle necking?

Currently with the build I have, I have about $170 to spend on a GPU. I initially looked at the GTX 7XX series but settled on the GTX 650 Ti ($145).

I could potentially spend less on RAM (currently: 16GB @ $154, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231497) and a cheaper case (Currently: $169 Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119160 ) to free up some $$$ for the a better GPU.

Would the Radeon R9 270 or HD7870 be better? Tom's implies they are about the same. Also should I worry about combing an Intel CPU with an AMD GPU?

I might spend the extra cash for the GTX 760 though...

hmmm u can get a asus 780ti with that cpu but if u cant afford than get geforce 8400 both of them will not bottleneck. by the way where u heard this bottleneck u see ur cpu in top hierarchy so how bottleneck get 780ti quad sli

max budget is up to $300 for GPU. ( trying to keep the entire rig purchase at or below $1000)

PSU is a XION 700W 80+

I have been soaking up an incredible amount of information on TH about CPU builds, and I have to say that is a really sick build for $1k. You guys have given me the insight I was looking for. Thanks for the help!
