Does anyone know any decent performance, good quality and cheap AMD CPU that is quad core?
I'm hoping to look for something less than $100 and that can fit a AM3,AM3+ socket. I've tried searching but can't seem to find or know any decent CPU under $100 that's quad.

If you're looking for a quality CPU, you're going to be competing against at least First or Second gen Intel processors which still run around $200 and most likely a little over. Of course you are considering clock speeds of about 3.0 GHz running 4 cores (generally). For under a $100, there are still a good number of AMD processors that will get you where you want to be in today's competitive hardware market. If you're looking for quad-core CPU's with AM3 or AM3+ socket, I'm assuming you already have a motherboard and are looking to upgrade your CPU. In this case, I would personally recommend the AMD Phenom II X4 955 or 965 Black Edition Deneb which clock in at 3.2 and 3.4 GHz, respectively. Both run 125w so make sure you have a power supply that can handle that. However, the 965 is $110, so that might not be a viable option. The Phenom II 955 comes in at $95, and has some pretty standard AMD technology such as Direct Connect, Balanced Smart Cache, etc. Keep in mind also that this option is comparably better than the i3's for it's price. (AMD runs 45nm architecture, i3's run 32 nm). Total core cache for AMD is more than what Intel brings in all of it's 3 generations of i3's. Pretty comparable to the older i5's though. I definitely recommend this beautiful piece of machinery for you, my friend.
