I have no idea what to upgrade on my pc you can look at the specs but I don't know what is a worthy upgrade. Let's say i have a budget of 150 to upgrade and i am open to used like i know a guy who has a 1060 6gb for 130, a rx 480 for 130, or a 1070 for 240 and prices stay consistent following rival gpus. Is waiting to save for 1070 better? So, what would be a good upgrade to upgrade my gaming performance? i wanna be abale to play all games at 1080p 60fps or more for a year or two then maybe upgrade to 1440p
ryzen 5 1600
b350 tomahawk mobo
8gb of 2400mhz ram evga

crucial mx300 275gb
Samsung 850evo 128gb

When somebody gets several recommendations, with many options already on the table, good options, but still keeps trying to come up with different angles asking the same questions over and over again after it's already been determined that a good answer is in place with several different options they can take, it sure looks like trolling to me and to most people.

If you don't want to replace your power supply with a worthy one, that's your right and your choice. I can only tell you why it SHOULD be done and point you at the best options based on the budget. I can explain it TO you, but I can't understand it FOR you. So you either decide that yes this is something I need to do in order to protect the investment I've made on all my other...
PSU and graphics card. Those are the two things that are in need of upgrade and you might not be able, or at least would be ill advised, to upgrade one without the other.

PSU upgrade based on model. What is the model number, exactly, of your current power supply?

What country are you in?

I have an EVGA Power Supply 100-W1-0500-KR and live in the US. I feel that psu is pretty good at the moment unless i go for a very high end gpu

Ok, so that's one of the worst models EVGA has ever sold. The W1, B1, NEX and B3 units are pretty low quality. Definitely they were never intended to be paired with gaming cards or high demand systems. I'd definitely recommend replacing that with a better unit, especially since you clearly have recently upgraded the rest of your system.

Last thing you want is a poor quality power supply cutting the useful life of your new motherboard in half because it has poor control of ripple and noise, which it will, since ripple overheats capacitors. This is a known problem and is well documented when it comes to prematurely failing motherboards.

It won't improve your gaming performance, but it WILL allow you to GET a better card later and still have a system around it that makes it WORTH getting a better card for. Not so if if your motherboard or something else fails or is damaged due to the low quality of that unit.

Certainly with a brand new card I'd not want to continue using that unit. Also, how old is that PSU? Did you just get it, or has it been in use for a while? If it's more than a year old already, the chances of it having increased problems even beyond the fact that it wasn't great to start with are much increased.

This would be a really good first step, even though I'm sure you'd prefer to upgrade the GPU card FIRST, I don't think that probably ought to be your first step. Totally up to you of course, just my recommendation.

There are some alternative choices that would still be better than what you have now, but that is a pretty damn solid unit right there for the price. You could use that through several sucessive builds or upgrades, based on it's performance and quality.

I see what you mean but lets say i have a budget of 50 dollars for a psu what would be a good one that is well certificated? Because I am willing to buy used. like through hardware swap or craigslist

Nope. Gotta stop you there. You do NOT want to buy a used PSU or graphics card. A used CPU or motherboard is a far surer bet. Those tend to get sold used before long term damage has been done. Not always, but far more often than power supplies or graphics cards. I would never, ever, buy a used graphics card or power supply unless it was from somebody I know and trust well enough that they are welcome to eat dinners with my family.

New, for under fifty bucks, this would be a good choice.

Yes, same as I posted above. Not a GREAT unit but far better than what you have now.

That would leave you about a hundred bucks left in your current budget. Save a little longer and get yourself a GTX 960 or something equivalent that will greatly outperform your current card at 1080p.

i have had it a little over a year i bought it in spet. 2016

So, based on that I'd say be glad you've got as much, hopefully, trouble free use out of it as you have and I'd recommend you retire it for use as a troubleshooting backup, or put it into use in a system that will not be using a discreet graphics card. Might be ok for something with only integrated graphics or a really low end card like a GT 730 or something similar. Definitely you don't want to use it if you get a new card.

I wouldn't even recommend continuing to use it with your new motherboard even if you didn't get a new card.

so would one like this be good https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139199&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=11552995&PID=8155920&SID=strippedEmail or something arounmd that price range with like 650 plus watts so there is always space for upgrades

Yes, that unit would be ok. Much better than that lower end EVGA unit. EVGA sells some very good power supplies made for them by Super Flower, but the N1, W1 and B1 units are not among them. I don't count Corsair CX units as really good, but it's undoubtedly better than what you have. Actually, for the hardware you currently have and any single graphics card from this or the previous generation of AMD or Nvidia cards, this would probably be a much better option and it is plenty big enough to handle anything up to a GTX 1080 or RX 580.

It has much better reviews, better internal component selection, bested tested levels of ripple, noise and voltage regulation, better efficiency being Gold rather than bronze so, less wasted power resulting in additional heat and best of all it has a two year longer warranty than the Corsair CX unit plus the initial investment is lower than that of the CX, so no waiting on rebates.

i see what you mean. So a 550 watt can get up to a gtx 1080? and even more later in the future
I went to buy "used" because in my area I found this
https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/sop/d/brand-new-dark-power-proplus/6431516367.html
and i think it is a pretty good deal or one that is still sealed from a guy I know and have bought a lot of stuff from.

I saw this bundle and think it has a pretty good psu and even a nice case I can use. I don't mind waiting for mail in rebates. Is this a good bundle?

Not sure what "bundle" you are talking about. That Dark power Pro 11 is a pretty fair unit if the price is right.

The thing I don't like about buying used though is you don't REALLY know if it's been used or not, way too easy to reseal packages up with a twenty dollar shrink wrap tool but even more important is that without a retail proof of purchase you generally don't have any kind of warranty to fall back on in the even that your purchase develops problems like you would if you bought it new.

Even the very best units CAN and DO develop problems sometimes, so having a warranty is almost a necessity unless you like spending money twice.

yea i have bought from this dude multiple times and have't had problem and he has always said if anything goes wrong i can return it.

I have seen this bundle. I know the psu sin't any improvement in watts but I like the case and think i can use some good gpus until later in the future.

The power supply in that bundle is PURE junk. You do NOT want that, or pretty much ANY Cooler Master power supply. Total garbage except for one or two of their very high end models. You would LITERALLY be exactly where you already are, which is having a low quality power supply.

Then I will probably stick to that 650 watt from be quiet cause I feel that is a wise investment since I knew the guys there pretty well

I am not trolling I am legit very confused. I never even considered upgrading my power supply. I want advice and that's all I am asking. I am not an expert at pc parts that's why I ask but If you think I am trolling I can ask others.
